IND vs ENG Nagpur Pitch Report: India and England are set to face off in the first of three-match IND vs ENG ODI series on February 6 (Thursday) at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. The series will come as the perfect preparation for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 for both India and England as they will look to fine-tune their team combinations.

Led by Suryakumar Yadav, India registered a commanding 4-1 series win over the Jos Buttler-led England and will look to replicate their performance in the 50-over format as well.

Team India will welcome the return of several key players to the ODI squad, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and others.

The series-opener will be held at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur with the subsequent matches scheduled in Cuttack and Ahmedabad.

The VCA Stadium has a new pitch that is set to offer bounce, with total scores expected to range between 280 and 300 runs. However, the red soil is expected to provide support for spinners. The VCA Stadium has hosted nine ODIs from 2009 to 2019, with an average first-innings total of 288 runs. Teams chasing targets have had more success, winning 6 out of 9 matches. The ground has seen several high-scoring matches, with the 300-run mark surpassed in six out of 18 completed innings. However, the last two ODIs here were relatively low-scoring, with the team batting first setting totals of 242 and 250.

Virat Kohli tops the run-scoring list at the venue in Nagpur with 325 runs and Mitchell Johnson holds the record for most wickets with 9 from 3 matches.
