The wicketkeeper-batsman climbed to second place on the list of Indian players with the most sixes in Test cricket. Only one batter is now ahead of him.

Let’s take a look at the top 4 Indian batsmen who have hit the most sixes in Test matches.

4. Mahendra Singh Dhoni

India's most successful captain and legendary wicketkeeper-batsman, MS Dhoni, occupies the fourth spot on this list. The 43-year-old veteran played 90 Test matches for Team India, hitting 78 sixes across 144 innings. Dhoni finished his red-ball career with 4,876 runs.

3. Rohit Sharma

Explosive Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who recently announced his retirement from Test cricket, stands third on the list. The right-handed batsman featured in 67 Tests, and in 116 innings, smashed 88 sixes. Rohit has scored a total of 4,301 runs in the longest format.

2. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant has now risen to the second position among Indian players with the most sixes in Tests.

In the first innings of the third Test against England at Lord's, Pant struck 2 sixes, taking his overall tally to 88. He achieved this feat in just 80 innings across 46 Tests, equaling Rohit Sharma’s mark. He now needs just 4 more sixes to surpass Virender Sehwag at the top.

1. Virender Sehwag

One of India's greatest and most entertaining openers, Virender Sehwag, holds the top spot. The 'Nawab of Najafgarh' hammered 91 sixes in 180 innings of 104 Tests. However, given Pant’s current form and attacking style, Sehwag’s record might not remain unchallenged for long.
