IND Vs ENG: Disappointing! Rain Plays Spoil Sport As 1st Test Draws Due To Constant Downpour

IND vs ENG 1st Test: It is a disappointing way to start a new series for India as they had a great chance to win the Test and lead series 1-0.

Nottingham: England vs India 1st Test match has been drawn as there could not have been any substantial play on the final day of th Test match. It is a dissapointing way for fans, especially from India as Kohli's men were staring straight at a Test match victory.

As India readied itself for the final day's play in Trent Bidge, the water gods had different plans. There was constant downpour on Day 5 of 1st Test match betwen England and India. The rain was expected to have an impact on the match and a 'stop/start' kind of a day was expected. The tables turned when the rainfall did not stop at all and the entire two sessions were washed out in the rain.

At the end of Day 4, India was chasing a score of 209 and has lost one wicket, that of KL Rahul. Virat Kohli's men have always shown a winning attitude and would look to score the remaining 157 runs.

The match was washed out till Lunch time, but, there was some play in the later half of Day 5. The news of rain stopping came at 6:30 pm IST, almost one hour into the second session.

Trent Bridge has been a happy hunting ground for India as the only Test win in 2018 came at this ground and even today, India's chances were looking good to win the Test match but rain spoiled the party for India. There are some positives to take out from this game. The way KL Rahul played his inings beautifuly, not ony him but Jasprit Bumrah, and other pacers also bowled well. So overall, India did not have a terrible start like every other time.

It is a disappointing way to start a new series for India as they had a great chance to win the Test and lead series 1-0.
