Father-Son Pairs Who Made Their Mark

Lala Amarnath – Mohinder Amarnath:

Lala Amarnath was the first Indian cricketer to score a century in Test cricket. He represented India in 24 Test matches, scoring 978 runs and taking 45 wickets. His first-class career was also exceptional—he scored 10,426 runs and claimed 463 wickets in 186 matches.

His son Mohinder Amarnath became one of India's finest players. He played a vital role in India’s 1983 World Cup victory. Mohinder featured in 69 Tests and 85 ODIs for India. In Tests, he scored 4,378 runs with 11 centuries, while in ODIs, he scored 1,924 runs.

Geoff Marsh – Shaun Marsh – Mitchell Marsh:

Former Australian opener Geoff Marsh played 50 Tests and 117 ODIs. He scored 2,854 runs in Test cricket and 4,357 runs in ODIs.

His sons Shaun Marsh and Mitchell Marsh have also made significant contributions to Australian cricket. Shaun scored 2,265 runs in 38 Tests, 2,773 runs in 73 ODIs, and 255 runs in 15 T20Is.
