First-Ever Double Century In ODIs

India last played an international match in Gwalior on February 2010. This was an ODI against South Africa. The then captain of the Indian team was MS Dhoni who won the toss and elected to bat first. What followed was a sheer batting masterclass led by Sachin Tendulkar.

Having previously neared that mark but it was on this day that he came the first man in the world to get to a double hundred. He remained unbeaten on 200 off 147 balls with the help of 25 fours and 3 sixes. Dinesh Karthik scored 79 off 85 before the Master Finisher Dhoni scored a blistering 68 off 35, an innings which would have otherwise been more talked about had it not come in Tendulkar's 200 game.
