IND vs BAN 1st Test: Virat Kohli Set To Make History In Chennai, Eyes Don Bradman's Record

Virat Kohli record IND vs BAN 1st Test: The two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh kicks off on September 19. In the series opener, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has the chance to attain a mega milestone. If Kohli scores a century at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, he will reach his 30th Test century.

If the legendary batter reaches this milestone, he will surpass Australian legend Sir Don Bradman. He has so far scored 29 centuries in 113 Test matches, while Bradman achieved 29 centuries in only 52 matches.

Virat Kohli is fourth on the list of Indian players with the most Test centuries. The top three are Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, and Sachin Tendulkar.

Gavaskar has 34 centuries in 125 Tests, Dravid has 36 centuries in 163 matches, and Sachin Tendulkar leads with 51 centuries, holding the record for the most Test centuries of all time.

Virat Kohli on verge of completing 27,000 runs across formats

In IND vs BAN 1st Test in Chennai, Virat Kohli can complete 27,000 runs across all three formats—Test, ODI, and T20. Currently, he has amassed 26,942 international runs. A score of 58 runs at Chepauk would make him the fourth player to achieve this milestone, joining Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, and Kumar Sangakkara.

Virat Kohli's performances in Chennai have been notable, and his role in the series opener (IND vs BAN 1st Test) will be crucial as India seeks to begin the series with a win and earn valuable World Test Championship (WTC) points.
