IPL 2024 Trading Window: Gujarat Titans Released, Retained, Full Squad, Remaining Purse - All You Need to Know

GT in IPL 2024: Here's everything fans need to know about Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2024 Trading Window Retained, Released, Full Squad, Remaining Purse.

Gujarat Titans IPL 2024 Trading Window Retained, Released, Full Squad, Remaining Purse: Gujarat Titans have made strategic choices for the upcoming IPL 2024 mini auction, keeping key players like Shubman Gill, David Miller, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami. However, they've bid farewell to nine players, notably their title-winning captain Hardik Pandya, from their 2023 squad. In a significant move, the team had to trade Pandya but ensured the retention of core players from their runner-up IPL 2023 squad. They've also secured the return of Kane Williamson, who missed the last season due to injury.

The departure of Pandya creates a notable gap in the team's composition. Furthermore, the release of several fast-bowling options, including Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Shivam Mavi, and Pradeep Sangwan, necessitates a focus on bolstering their bowling department.

Hardik Pandya's return to Mumbai Indians marks a full circle in his IPL journey. Initially part of MI since his IPL debut in 2015, he rejoined the team after his stint as captain with Gujarat Titans. Under his leadership, Gujarat Titans clinched the IPL title in 2022, and Pandya himself shone brightly, earning the 'Player of the Match' title in the final against Rajasthan Royals. While leading GT, Pandya guided the team to the IPL final in consecutive seasons. Despite their strong performance, they narrowly missed the championship, finishing as runners-up to Chennai Super Kings in the previous edition.

IPL 2024: Gujarat Titans Current Purse: Looking ahead to the auction on December 19, 2023, Gujarat Titans aim to bring back former players at more economical rates and infuse fresh T20 talent into the team. They have eight slots to fill, including two overseas spots, and a considerable purse of Rs 38.15 Crores for the auction in Dubai.

GT's Remaining Purse & Player Slots: The team enters the auction with Rs 38.15 Crores and eight available slots, including two for overseas players.
