Farhan Ahmed record: Sixteen-year-old off-spinner Farhan Ahmed made history in county cricket for England by taking a total of 10 wickets for Nottinghamshire in both innings against Surrey.

This achievement makes him the youngest bowler ever to take 10 wickets in a first-class match. Despite his impressive performance, the game between Nottinghamshire and Surrey ended in a draw.

By taking 10 wickets in a first-class match, Farhan broke a 159-year-old record, becoming the youngest bowler ever to achieve this feat. He surpassed the previous record set by WG Grace in 1865.

In first-class cricket, WG Grace previously held the world record for taking 10 wickets in a match at the age of 16 years and 340 days. Farhan Ahmed has surpassed this milestone, achieving the feat at just 16 years and 191 days old. Born on February 22, 2008, Farhan has also set the record for the youngest player to claim a five-wicket haul.

In the match against Surrey, Farhan Ahmed claimed 7 wickets in the first innings and added 3 more in the second innings. Surrey batted first and amassed a substantial total of 525 runs. Nottinghamshire responded with 405 runs, leaving Surrey with a lead of 120 runs.

In the second innings, Surrey declared after scoring 177 runs, setting Nottinghamshire a target of 298 runs to win. By the end of the final day, Nottinghamshire had reached 121 runs without losing a wicket, resulting in a draw.
