'England Playing Irresponsibly In The Name Of Bazball': Twitter Reacts As England Lose 6 Wickets For 47 Runs On Day 3 Of Lord's Ashes Test

While the match still seemed in fine balance, in the first half an hour on Day 3, England lost their remaining six wickets for 47 runs to get bowled out for 325.

London: It is Test cricket at it's best in the ongoing second Test match of the five-match Ashes series at the iconic Lord's cricket ground in London. Australia, who are 1-0 up in the series heading into this match, have managed to take a first innings lead worth 91 runs. While the Aussies were asked to bat first by Ben Stokes in overcast conditions, they managed to make a solid 416 runs batting first, thanks to a sensational hundred from Steven Smith (110). In response, England too had started positively with Ben Duckett scoring 98 off 134 and Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope chipping in with a couple of 40s, they lost wickets in a heap against Australia's short-ball tactics and ended Day 2 on 278/4.

While the match still seemed in fine balance at that point, in the first half an hour on Day 3, the Three Lions lost their remaining six wickets for 47 runs in an absolutely disappointing performance. Soon after England's poor batting performance, there have been all sorts of reactions coming in on Twitter. While some have said that Bazball brand of cricket should not be an excuse for brainless batting, a few others pointed out that the batters had got their eye in but could not convert their start into a big score.

Have a look at the reactions here:
