Cricketer Dies Following A Heart Attack While Batting In Pune, Video Goes Viral

Police informed that a 47-year old, identified as Babu Nalawade died following a heart attack while playing cricket in Pune’s Junnar tehsil. Watch the video here.

Jadhavwadi in Pune’s Junnar tehsil saw a very unfortunate event during a local cricket tournament. A 47-year old man collapsed on the ground while he was at the non-striker’s end due to a strong heart attack. He was identified as Mahesh alias Babu Nalawade by the Narayangaon police.

“He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead,” an official at the Narayangaon police station told the PTI. Later, the autopsy confirmed that he died of an heart attack.

Mahesh alias Babu was a resident of Dholwad in the Junnar tehsil of Pune. Such incidents have been happening in the past where cricketers have died while playing the match. The death of Phil Hughes was an unfortunate event that led the ICC to strengthen certain rules regarding wearing the helmet and so on.

This incident from Pune is also a heart-breaking one.
