Ashes: Pat Cummins Picks 100th Wicket On Home Soil. Hameed's Duck Is England's 50th In 2021
Haseeb Hameed's 0 was England's 50th duck in 2021. England are closing in on the all-time record that is currently 54, as recorded by England themselves back in 1998.
The Ashes, 3rd Test: Pat Cummins, Australia's new Test captain picked up his 100th wicket on Australian soil on Sunday as he picked up Haseeb Hameed for a duck. Hameed was out caught by the keeper as Cummins pitched the ball up just outside the off-stump line. The swinging ball did just enough to get the nick of Haseeb Hameed.
Incidentally, Haseeb Hameed's 0 was England's 50th duck in 2021, reported Mirror UK. England are closing in on the all-time record that is currently 54, as recorded by England themselves back in 1998.
Trouble continues for England on a (so far) disastrous Ashes tour even on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. At the end of 50 overs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), England had lost half their side for 128 runs. The top 3 were out just for 61 runs, Joe Root scored a fifty in the middle and tried to save the innings, but he was gone right after scoring the 50.
Pat Cummins took his tally to 102 wickets as he picked Hameed, Crawley, and Malan, the three top-order players.
Take a look at Haseeb Hameed's duck that was Cummins' 100th wicket on home soil:

Australia is leading the series 2-0 and they are expecting to win the Boxing Day Test. Onus lies on Bairstow and Buttler to take England's score to a respectable total in the first innings of the Boxing Day Test.
