Yashasvi Jaiswal's maiden innings in Australia ends without troubling the scorers, as the Indian opener was left bamboozled by a beautiful delivery from Mitchell Starc.

With the dismissal, Yashasvi Jaiswal now becomes the the first wicket of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series, and India are off to a dismal start.
The wicket came on the 1st delivery of the 3rd over, as Mitchell Starc delivered a fuller length delivery, which was swinging away, and Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to find an outside edge, and was caught at the gully region by debutant Nathan McSweeney.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's First Duck In 10 Months
Yashasvi Jaiswal has been excellent with the bat ever sine he debuted for India in 2023. The swashbuckling opener holds one of the highest averages in the history of Test cricket, as the talented left-handed batsman has an average of 56.28, within 14 matches and 26 innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal's first-ever duck in Test cricket came during the 1st innings of the 2nd Test match between India and South Africa, where India won to level the series 1-1 and share the trophy.
SInce then, the Rajasthan Royals player has been nothinhg short of excellent. During the 5-match Test series against England, he recorded 712 runs in 9 innings, with an average of 89 and strike rate of 79.91.
The series included two double-hundreds and 3 fifties, and carried his form in the Bangladesh series as well, where he smashed three fifties in four innings.
However, his past 7 Test innings have seen him record merely one fifty, and Indian fans will be wanting more from their 22-year-old starboy.
