ICC World Test Championship Points Table (Updated) after PAK vs AUS 1st Test: Shan Masood-led Pakistan cricket team faced a significant setback on Sunday (December 17), enduring a crushing defeat by 360 runs against hosts Australia in AUS vs PAK 1st Test of the ongoing AUS vs PAK three-match Test series. Chasing a daunting target of 450 runs for the win, Australia bowled out the Men in Green for mere 89 runs in the second innings.

Pakistan's batting collapse was particularly shocking, with all 10 batters getting out within 30.2 overs during the second and third sessions of the fourth day's play.

Post the humiliating defeat in AUS vs PAK 1st Test, Pakistan was forced to relinquished the number one spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table.

Due to Pakistan's defeat in AUS vs PAK 1st Test at Perth, team India has now ascended to the No. 1 position in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-2025 points table.

Before the start of Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test in Perth, Pakistan held a perfect win percentage (100%). However, post the defeat in AUS vs PAK Perth Test, their win percentage has now dropped to 66.67%. Consequently, Pakistan is now sharing the No. 1 position in the points table with India.

Nathan Lyon completes 500 wickets in international cricket

For Australia, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc both bagged three wickets each, while spinner Nathan Lyon dismissed two batters. Lyon, by securing his first wicket in the second innings, scripted history.

Nathan Lyon is now the eighth bowler to complete 500 wickets in Tests and has joined Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne as the third Australian to achieve 500 or more wickets in Tests.
