What will happen if India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023 Final match on Sunday gets washed out due to rain?

As per the ICC rules, at least 20 overs per side have to be bowled for a match to be considered as an official One-Day-International game. In case India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023 Final match on Sunday (September 17) gets washed out due to rain, there is a reserve day (September 18). In case the rain kicks in even on the reserve day then both the teams will be sharing the Asia Cup 2023 trophy. 

It won't be the first time when India and Sri Lanka will be declared joint-winners of a tournament. The 2002 Champions Trophy hosted in Sri Lanka was played in the month of September. Rain had disrupted many matches of the tournament. The final match of the 2002 Champions Trophy was to be played between India and Sri Lanka. But rain played spoilsport and the match could not be held even on the reserve day and was finally cancelled. India and Sri Lanka were then declared joint-winners.
