Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 2 Live: Hello and welcome to the Commonwealth Games 2022! As the games were officially declared during the Opening Ceremony on July 28th, the CWG 2022 is in action on Day 2.
India's Sanket Sargar won a silver medal in the 55 kg weightlifting competition on the second day of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Sanket lifted a total of 248kg with a clear jerk of 135kg, while Malaysia's Anik lifted 249kg with a 142kg clear jerk to claim gold medal.
India will be hoping for a medal from Mirabai Chanu in weightlifting. Many players from India performed well on the first day of the event. However, the Indian women's cricket team had to face defeat in their Commonwealth debut.
On the second day from 1.30 pm, the Indian badminton team will play a match against Sri Lanka. Whereas Sanket Mahadev and Gururaja will try their luck in weightlifting. India's table tennis team will play a match against Guyana from 2 pm onwards. It will be a competition of women's category. While the men's team will play the match against Northern Ireland.

India's women's hockey will take on Wales. This match will begin from 11.30 pm IST. Whereas in badminton, the mixed team will play a match against Australia. This match will be from 11.30 pm IST. There is hope for a medal win from Tania Choudhary in lawn balls.
