Promoting 'Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat' will help address global concerns and emphasise the need to make India 'Atmanirbhar' through science, according to a statement released by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

India’s indigenously developed technologies

The INS Vikrant is India's first indigenously developed aircraft carrier for the Indian Navy. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed numerous aeronautical systems, missiles, and electronic technologies.

Bharat Biotech's Covaxin is India's first indigenously developed Covid-19 vaccine.

Corbevax, manufactured by Biological E, is India's first indigenously developed receptor-binding domain (RBD) protein subunit vaccine against Covid 19.

Zydus Cadila's ZyCOV-D is the world's first DNA vaccine.

CERVAVAC is India's first indigenously developed quadrivalent human papillomavirus vaccination for cervical cancer.
