Kartik Month Festivals 2024: The sacred month of Kartik in 2024 begins on October 18 and will conclude on November 15 with Kartik Purnima. This month marks the arrival of autumn, and it is the final month of the Chaturmas (the four holy months in the Hindu calendar). According to religious scriptures, Kartik holds immense spiritual importance. It is said that those who perform Deep Daan (the act of offering lamps) during this month are absolved of the sins from both this life and their previous ones in the blink of an eye.

Kartik is also a month of good fortune and health. Taking a holy dip in sacred rivers during this period is believed to bring wellness. Special worship rituals for Tulsi (the holy basil) and Lord Vishnu are observed, which are believed to invoke the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Some of the most important festivals, such as Diwali, Dhanteras, Dev Uthani Ekadashi, and Chhath Puja, occur during this auspicious month.
