Why Is Tulsi Essential In Offerings?

As per Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu, in his Shaligram form, is married to Goddess Tulsi. Worshipping Vishnu without Tulsi is considered incomplete. It is believed that Lord Vishnu does not accept any offering without Tulsi leaves, which is why Tulsi is a mandatory element in the worship of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and all their divine incarnations.
