Cleanliness is particularly important as it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi enters only those homes that are kept clean and tidy.

For the Lakshmi Puja ritual, set up a worship space with a red cloth, placing beautifully adorned idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi. During the evening, worshipping the lit lamps along with Lakshmi Puja is customary. Illuminate every corner of the home and courtyard with lamps to welcome the divine blessings.
