- 0.5 Cup FOR SAFFRON LAYER: Sooji
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 0.5 Cup Sugar
- 0.5 Cup Carrots (grated, boiled)
- 0.5 Cup FOR WHITE LAYER: Sooji
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 0.5 Cup Sugar
- 0.5 Cup Coconut or Khoya
- 0.5 Cup FOR GREEN LAYER: Sooji
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 0.5 Cup Sugar
- 0.5 Cup Pistachios
Cooking Instructions
For the green layer, heat ghee in a pan and roast sooji in it. Then, add the pistachio paste and stir for a while.
Once done, add sugar and keep on stirring. Then, place it in glasses and fill only one-third part.
Next, prepare the white layer. Repeat roasting the sooji in ghee. Add in the grated coconut and cook till it's thick.
Spread this halwa over the green layer and smoothen it.
Now, prepare the last saffron layer by roasting sooji in the same way. Once aromatic, add the carrot puree with sugar.
Spread it over the white layer.
Let it set for 30 minutes and garnish with dry fruits and nuts.
