With its tantalising crunch and fiery flavour, this classic snack has earned a permanent place in homes, roadside stalls, and even festive celebrations. What makes Mirchi Bajji so special is its unique combination of heat and crispiness, where soft, stuffed or plain green chilies are coated in a spiced gram flour batter and deep-fried to golden perfection.

Beyond being just a simple snack, Mirch Bajji has a rich significance. From monsoon evenings to Diwali celebrations, these fritters are often prepared when friends and family gather, and they pair perfectly with a cup of steaming masala chai. Many households have their own twist, some prefer it extra spicy, while others may stuff the chillies with tangy masala or cheese for a modern touch. The snack is extremely versatile and so is its accompaniments. From classic green chutney and tamarind sauce to tangy tomato ketchup, each dip enhances the flavour with every bite.
