A gunman has killed three people and injured another four at a shopping mall in Denmark's capital Copenhagen. The victims are two Danish 17-year-olds and a 47-year old Russian. Two Danes and two Swedes were wounded - one remains critical. Police said the suspected shooter, 22, had mental health issues and there is no indication of a terror motive. The deadly shopping mall attack took place as Denmark celebrated hosting the first three stages of the Tour de France for the first time.

At least six people have been killed after being caught in an avalanche due to the collapse of a glacier in the northern Italian Alps. Emergency officials said nine others were injured in the collapse, with two people suffering serious injuries. Rescue teams using helicopters and drones have been working through the night searching for 19 still missing.

The Varanasi district court will further hear on July 4 arguments on the maintainability of a plea by five Hindu women seeking permission for daily worship of the Shringar Gauri Sthal within the Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi complex. The Muslim side persistently presented their argument and registered their point-to-point objections to the Hindu side’s plea in court today.

A new Omicron subvariant has been detected in about 10 states in India. The subvariant, called BA.2.75, may be "alarming" in nature, an Israeli expert said on July 3. The Indian health ministry has not yet confirmed the detection of the subvariant in the country. Dr Shay Fleishon, with the Central Virology Laboratory at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, wrote in a series of tweets that 85 sequences of BA.2.75 have been obtained so far, mainly from 10 states in India and seven countries. He said that no transmission could be tracked based on sequences outside India yet. 

A lady passenger reportedly committed suicide on Monday by jumping in front of a moving train and being hit at a station on the Delhi Metro's Yellow Line, according to the police. The incident occurred at the Jor Bagh metro station, causing a temporary disruption in service on a part of the corridor.
Sini Shetty has been crowned as the Femina Miss India World 2022 at the grand finale of the VLCC Femina Miss India on Sunday. The pageant took place at Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai. Rajasthan’s Rubal Shekhawat has been declared the first runner-up and Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh emerged as the second runner-up in Femina Miss India 2022.

Veteran Bengali filmmaker Tarun Majumdar passed away in Kolkata Monday after a prolonged illless. He was 91 years old. Majumdar had been suffering from kidney and heart problems for a long time, and was admitted to SSKM Hospital in the city on June 14. According to reports, he was put on ventilator Sunday, and breathed his last Monday morning
