Earlier, ISRO was required to take a license from the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisations (PESO), an arm of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

The S&P BSE Sensex surged to a new record high of 62,887, although it later gave up part of its gains to end the day 177 points higher at 62,682. In the ensuing six trading sessions, the BSE index has increased by 1,537 points. The NSE Nifty increased by 55 points to a fresh high of 18,618 at the close.

Hindustan Unilver, one of the leading equities, increased by more than 4% to Rs 2,635. ITC and Nestle India also finished with consistent improvements. The Nifty FMCG index increased by over 2% to 45,078.

JSW Steel saw the biggest gain among the other Nifty 50 stocks, rising more than 2%. The other notable winners included Cipla, Hero MotoCorp, Sun Pharma, Britannia, and Dr. Reddy's.
