But India's retail inflation as measured by the consumer price index surged to 7% in August compared to 6.71% in July.  For eight straight months the inflation rate has remained above Reserve Bank of India's acceptable rate of 2 to 6%. Now with festive season knocking on the door, should you be worried about the surge in inflation ? Explained.
