IPL 2024 Auction: A whopping 1,166 players have registered, vying for just 77 slots available. With ten franchises in the mix, a maximum of 30 overseas players could secure spots in this highly competitive event.

The IPL 2024 Auction registration list also reveals 830 Indian players, including 18 capped players, and 336 cricketers from overseas. Here’s a list of a few capped Indian players that can go unsold.

Kedar Jadhav's base price tag of INR 2 crore appears steep considering his prolonged absence from the IPL. His acquisition by RCB in the previous season as a replacement didn't prove effective as he didn't get the opportunity to play.

Hanuma Vihari, despite being a Test player for India, hasn't maintained a consistent presence in the IPL. Since his debut in 2013, he has played only 24 IPL games and hasn't been part of any game since 2019.

Varun Aaron, known for his speed, hasn't translated his talent into IPL success. Despite featuring in over 50 IPL games, the Jharkhand player's performance in the league has been notably underwhelming.

Shahbaz Nadeem had a remarkable rise in the IPL, impressing notably with the Delhi Capitals before being signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019 for a significant INR 3.2 crore. However, since 2022, he hasn't been selected by any team in the IPL.
