Monsoon Makeup Tips: Level Up Your Look With These Hacks

Monsoon brings relief from summer but challenges makeup with humidity. Minor tweaks and right products can retain your look despite the weather.

Prepping your skin with lightweight and waterproof moisturisers: Once you cleanse your face, opt for oil-free, transfer-proof and non-sticky, lightweight moisturiser.

Primer is Key: Apply an easy-to-blend, gel-textured mattifying primer before your makeup, to create a smooth base and control excess oil. This will help your makeup last longer and prevent it from melting or smudging.

Get the non-greasy look: Keep your makeup minimal and natural during monsoon. Avoid heavy foundation and opt for a BB cream instead. Use a concealer only where needed to cover any blemishes or dark circles. Set your foundation with a translucent powder which will absorb the excess oil & moisture from the face.

Waterproof Eye Makeup: Choose waterproof and smudge-proof eyeliners and mascaras to prevent them from running or smearing due to rain or humidity. This will help your eye makeup stay intact throughout the day. Look for water-resistant mascaras and eyeliners. You can also opt for water-resistant eyebrow definers to define the sparse spaces and the look of the eyes.

Long-lasting Lip Colours: Choose long-wearing, airy light textured waterproof lip colours. Matte liquid lipsticks or lip stains tend to have better-staying power during the monsoon. You may want to refrain from glossy or creamy formulas that can smudge or transfer easily during this season.

Carry a Makeup Setting Spray: Finish your makeup by spritzing some setting spray on your face after you've completed your makeup.
