Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel, also known as Banihal Railway Tunnel, is an 11.2km-long tunnel built at an altitude of 1440ft on the Pir Panjal ranges of the Himalayas. It is the longest tunnel in India and the second-longest in Asia. The tunnel connects Bichleri Valley of Banihal to Qazigund and is also a vital link connecting Udhampur to Baramulla.
