Actress Sonam Kapoor hosted a sumptuous dinner party to mark her first Mother's Day in the UK. She released photos of the event and her recently renovated home.

Sonam and her businessman husband Anand Ahuja reside in London's Notting Hill with their kid Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.

Sonam took to her Instagram to share a series of pictures that gave glimpses of her get-together with her friends. She also described how the colours of spring were used to decorate her house.

Sonam shared photos of herself wearing a red and black dress. She smiled for the camera and struck several poses. Sonam posed next to and sat on a green couch in the first few photos.

She also provided a sneak peek of the table, which was adorned with cutlery, colourful flowers, and yellow taper candles.

Sonam also gave a closer view of the menu which had a host of dishes.

The brightly coloured orange wall was decorated with balloons.

Sonam captioned the post, "Spending Mothering Sunday or (Mother’s Day in the united kingdom) with my friends and ushering in the new season by decorating the house inspired by the colours of spring.
