‘Mahabharata’ – Madhu Mantena’s retelling of ‘Mahabharata’ will star Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone in the lead role. The story will be illustrated from Draupadi’s point of view where Padukone will portray the role of the protagonist. ‘Adipurush’ – Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ is one of the most awaited upcoming movies. This film will be directed by ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ director Om Raut and is based on the epic ‘Ramayana’. While Prabhas will be seen illustrating the role of Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh will portray the role of Sita and Lakshmana. ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ – Starring Vicky Kaushal in the role of the protagonist, ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ will be directed by Aditya Dhar, who is also the director of ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, this futuristic sci-fi movie will portray the story of the mythological character Ashwatthama, who was cursed by Lord Krishna of ‘immortality’. ‘Suryaputra Mahavir Karna’ – Produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh’s ‘Pooja Entertainment’, ‘Suryaputra Mahavir Karna’ will tell the story one of the major characters of ‘Mahabharata’ – Mahavir Karna. Considered as the flawed tragic hero of ‘Mahabharata’, Karna was born to Vedic deity – Surya and princess Kunti, thereby making him a demigod. He was one of the accomplished warriors with extraordinary abilities.
