Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who has directed his son Hrithik Roshan in the previous installments, has officially stepped down as director and handed over the reins to Hrithik for 'Krrish 4'.

Hrithik Roshan to Helm Krrish 4 as Director

Hrithik, who has played the iconic titular role in the Krrish series since its inception, will now take on dual responsibilities—leading the franchise both as its superhero on-screen and its visionary behind the camera.

Confirming the decision, Rakesh Roshan shared with ABP News:“I am passing the baton of direction for Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik Roshan, who has lived, breathed, and dreamt about this franchise since its inception. Hrithik has a clear and ambitious vision for taking Krrish forward and keeping the audience engaged for decades to come.

As a producer, I couldn’t be prouder to see him take the director’s seat for a film that holds deep meaning for our family. Krrish has entertained audiences worldwide, and Hrithik will now shape the next chapters of this superhero saga, elevating the vision I created to even greater heights."

Taking to his official X( Twitter) handle, Roshan also made an official announcement pronouncing his son as the director of 'Krish 4'. He wrote, "Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 yrs you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Adi Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings! ♥️."
