Relatives of the couples who got married and the people of Gujarat were waving and showing their support. PM Modi while tweeting about the event said "‘Papa Ni Pari’ was a unique mass marriage programme in Bhavnagar. The manner in which people dedicate themselves for good causes illustrates our societal strength and collective spirit. During the speech, he appealed to the public to make BJP win. He said that "I am happy that my election campaign is starting with the blessings of my tribal brothers and sisters. During his speech, he said "It is a matter of good fortune for me that my first election meeting is starting with the blessings of my tribal brothers and sisters. Earlier, when the tank was made, the drum was played for a month and the village trees were distributed after the hand pump was installed.
