The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reached the accident spot soon after the incident came to light and began rescue operations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered condolences and prayed for quick recovery of those injured in the incident. He also said that all possible assistance is being provided to the affected. In a report by PTI a civic official said that the building, situated at Patel compound of Narpoli near Dhamankar Naka, collapsed at 3.40 AM, while the residents were asleep.
