WATCH: US' youngest senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez trolled for viral dance video; replies with a new one

The viral clip was shared on Twitter just a day before Cortez was to be sworn in the US Congress.

New Delhi: A video of US’ youngest senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went viral on social media recently where she can be seen dancing on the roof of a building.  The viral clip was shared on the micro-blogging website Twitter just a day before Cortez was to be sworn in the US Congress. She is 29. Cortez faced flak from critics, mostly the Republicans, over the video. It is speculated that the video was shared with intent to malign the Democrat’s image. CNN reported that the caption for the video shared by AnonymousQ1776 read: “Here is America’s favorite commie know-it-all acting like the clueless nitwit she is.” In the comments section, Cortez was at the receiving end of jokes with most of them telling her to go back to dancing and leave politics. However, the way Cortez chose to respond to the trolls has left the critics speechless. She has posted a new video of herself dancing again, this time outside her office. She captioned the video: “I hear the GOP thinks women dancing are scandalous. Wait till they find out Congresswomen dance too! Have a great weekend everyone.”
