A thief caught stealing gym equipment in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, was forced to exercise as punishment instead of being beaten.

A video has recently gone viral showing a thief forced to exercise after he was caught stealing devices. The video posted by a user named 'Ghar Ke Kalesh 'on X, the man (thief) could be seen crying after he was forced to do exercise.

In a video that has gone viral now, the thief is struggling to exercise. He could be seen trying chest exercises, leg exercises, biceps exercises, and other exercises in the gym.

The man making the video could be heard forcing the thief to do exercise, and the thief is continuously struggling to work and can be heard begging to forgive him. However, the man could be seen constantly forcing him to work out.

According to Bangladeshguardian.com, the incident took place at Power Gym Centre on the third floor of Boktiar Market in Kutupalong, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. Abdullah Al Mamun, owner of the Power Gym Centre, said that on Friday, June 27, he closed the gym around noon to attend Jummah prayers. During that time, a thief broke the lock and entered the gym and stole the gym’s IPS, batteries, cables, and some equipment. Upon returning from prayer, Mamun discovered the gym in disarray and several items missing. CCTV footage later revealed a young man stealing the equipment.

The owner said that after identifying the thief, they began searching for him. On July 9, the man was spotted at Kutupalong market, and they brought him to the gym.

According to the report, Mamun said that he was not present at the time and had instructed the gym-goers not to harm the thief. And, instead of beating him, they decided to punish him by making him exercise.
