'Putin Would Be Sitting In Kyiv If...': Harris Attacks Trump Over Russia-Ukraine War
Vice President Kamala Harris criticized Trump for his stance on the Ukraine war, claiming Putin would be in Kyiv if Trump were president.
US Vice President Kamala Harris lashed out at her Republican rival Donald Trump on the issue of the Russia-Ukraine war saying had Trump been the President, Vladimir Putin would be sitting in Kyiv.
In a heated debate between the two presidential candidates, when Trump was asked if he wanted Ukraine to win the war, the former US President said: "I want the war to stop." He went on to talk about the cost of Russia's war in Ukraine on the US and claimed that Europe was paying "much less" in comparison to the US.
Responding to Trump's allegations, Harris said she has a "strong relationship" with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. "Our Nato allies are so thankful that you are no longer president," Harris said to Trump.
"Otherwise Putin would be sitting in Kyiv with his eyes on the rest of Europe," she added.

Further intensifying her attack, Harris said Putin "is a dictator who will eat you for lunch."
The debate then turned to Afghanistan and the Biden administration's decision to withdraw American troops from there in 2021.
Harris said she agreed with Biden's commitment to get the US out of the country but also pointed out how the withdrawal came to be. "Donald Trump as president negotiated one of the weakest deals you can imagine," she said, referring to his negotiations with the Taliban.
Responding to Harris, Trump asserted that he got involved with the Taliban because "the Taliban was doing the killing." He said that the deal that led to the US withdrawal "was a good deal" but added that had he been the president during the pull-out, no American citizens or military equipment would be left behind.
"They blew it," he said of the Biden administration.
