A spokesperson to the US Department of State further added that America is keep a close tab and monitoring how the situation along the India-China border in Ladakh is evolving and hopes for a peaceful resolution.

The United States of America (USA) has lashed out at China for their unwanted aggressive posturing and repeated provocations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with India in the Ladakh sector as Washington stated that a clear pattern emerging from Beijing of being increasingly aggressive with its neighbours is highly 'disturbing'. The US statement comes after Chinese troops made multiple attempts to transgress onto Indian side of the LAC and claim strategic heights around the Southern bank of the strategically located Pangong Lake in Eastern Ladakh. A spokesperson to the US Department of State further added that America is keep a close tab and monitoring how the situation along the India-China border in Ladakh is evolving and hopes for a peaceful resolution. The US State Department also hit out at the Xi Xinping led Chinese Communist Party of carrying out oppression and repressing its own people and bullying its neighbours. “From Taiwan Strait to Xinjiang, the South China Sea to the Himalayas, cyberspace to international organisations, we are dealing with the Chinese Communist Party that seeks to repress its own people and bully its neighbours. The only way to stop these provocations is by standing up to Beijing,” the spokesperson was quoted as saying by ANI. Earlier on Monday, the Indian Army briefed the media over China’s People's Liberation Army conducting "provocative military movements" on the intervening night of August 29-30 to "unilaterally" change the status quo on the southern bank of Pangong Tso. The Indian Army was vigilant and on high level of operational readiness to thwart a major attempt by the Chinese troops to transgress into the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control in the Chumar area on Eastern Ladakh. On seeing the a military convoy with around vehicles from the Indian side along with troops, the Chinese vehicle convoy returned back towards their bases. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said that it is in close communication through diplomatic and military channels with India regarding conditions on the ground. India and China have been at loggerheads with each other over a bitter standoff along the LAC since April-May earlier this year with Indian establishment charging Chinese troops deployed along the LAC of making transgressions into the Indian side in highly strategic areas including the Finger area, Galwan Valley, Hot Springs and Kongrung Nala.
