Twitter Would Be Minting Money If...: Elon Musk On Buzz About Trump's Return To Twitter
Donald Trump's account had been permanently suspended on January 6, 2021, just two days after the riot in the US Capitol building for voicing support for rioters who stormed the US Capitol.
After taking over Twitter, Elon Musk revealed that he had been frequently asked about Donald Trump's return to the micro-blogging site. The billionaire entrepreneur who finally tweeted on the issue said if he had a dollar for every time someone asked him if Trump is coming back on this platform, Twitter would be minting money.

However, Musk's tweet didn't offer any hint on whether Trump will get back to the platform. The news of Trump's return started floating on the Internet after a verified account named Donald J. Trump thanked Musk for restoring his account. The tweet garnered lakhs of likes and several comments within hours.
The fake profile with Trump's name described itself saying, "we do a little trolling. Smash players".
The tweet was shared from the 'official' Twitter profile of Donald J. Trump thanking Elon Musk for restoring his account on October 28. However, later it was found that the tweet was shared by an already verified Twitter account, who changed their name to Donald J. Trump. Trump's Twitter account remains suspended till now.
Thank you, @elonmusk !

Hope all the haters and losers have missed me!
The social media platform had suspended Trump’s account citing the risk of incitement of violence, days after the Capitol Hill riots. "After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them…we have permanently suspended the account," the company wrote in a blog.
The former President’account had been permanently suspended on January 6, 2021, just two days after the riot on the US Capitol building for voicing support for rioters who stormed the US Capitol.
Known to be an exceptional Twitter user, Trump had fired off multiple tweets in a single day just prior to his ban. Since Trump was removed from Twitter apart from being suspended from Facebook and YouTube, Trump initially posted messages for his followers on his personal website before he founded his own social media company, Truth Social, in early 2022.
Earlier in April Trump had told CNBC that he would not return to Twitter even if Elon Musk, the company’s incoming owner then reversed the ban. “I was disappointed by the way I was treated by Twitter. I won’t be going back on Twitter,” the former president had said.
