The law enforcement officials stated that they had found bomb-making materials inside the vehicle of the suspect involved in assassination attempt of former US President Donald Trump, who got injured during his election rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The 78-year-old presumptive Republican presidential nominee was rushed off stage by the Secret Services after the gunshots pierced the upper part of his right ear, leaving him blood streaked across his face.

- The investigators said that the weapon was purchased by Crook's father at least six months ago. The motive behind the assassination attempt is yet to be ascertained.
- Two witnesses claimed that they saw the shooter move from roof to roof during the rally.

- One rally-goer was killed and two others were critically injured in the attack.
- Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro identified the deceased as a former fire chief. He was attending the rally with his family and "died a hero" as he dove on his family to protect them from the shots, AP reported.
