Pakistan: High intensity blast outside Sufi Shrine, Data Darbar in Lahore; 2 dead, several injured

The blast targeted a van carrying the Elite Force of Punjab Police, rescue sources said.

New Delhi: A high intensity blast rocked Lahore on Wednesday morning, which targeted vehicle of Elite Force near Data Darbar, outside Sufi Shrine. The incident claimed the lives of at least two personnel. The incident also left many people injured. Speaking on the incident, authorities said “At least two people died and scores were injured in a blast outside the Data Darbar shrine in Lahore on Wednesday morning, authorities said”. The blast targeted a van carrying the Elite Force of Punjab Police, rescue sources said. At least two dead bodies were brought in to Mayo Hospital while 19 others are being treated for injuries, hospital sources told media. Police and rescue personnel have reached the site of the incident. More details on the same are awaited.
