Hezbollah also said that it targeted areas north of Israeli city of Haifa, a day after an attack on the northern Israeli city wounded over 10 people.
"The IAF (air force) conducted an extensive aerial operation and struck over 120 terror targets in southern Lebanon within an hour," the military said in a statement, according to AFP.
The Israeli military further said that the targets belonged to the group's elite Radwan forces and other units.
The attack on Lebanon comes on the anniversary of the October 7 attacks last year, when Hamas launched an unprecedented strike on Israel.
Hezbollah also said that it targeted areas north of Israeli city of Haifa, a day after an attack on the northern Israeli city wounded over 10 people, according to Al Jazeera.
Meanwhile, air raid sirens echoed across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, after surface-to-surface missiles were fired from Yemen. Israel did not mention who fired the missile, but Iran-backed Houthis - A Shia militant group in Yemen - have over the past year attacked Israel several times in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
