No Sense In Deploying Army, Will Solve Border Issue With India Through Dialogue, Says Nepal Dy PM

This comes days after Nepal’s law minister Shivya Maya Tumbahamphe tabled a constitutional amendment bill in the House of Representatives regarding the disputed new map of the country, seeking to update it in the national emblem.

New Delhi: Amid the spate of controversies going on between Asian neighbours, Nepal Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel on Tuesday said that it will solve the border issue through dialogue with India. READ HERE | Nepal Govt Tables Amendment Bill For Disputed New Map Amid Border Controversy With India As quoted by news agency ANI, Ishwar Pokhrel in an official statement said "We will solve the border issue through dialogue with India, it is our consistent point. There is no sense in deploying the Army." This comes days after Nepal’s law minister Shivya Maya Tumbahamphe tabled a constitutional amendment bill in the House of Representatives  regarding the disputed new map of the country, seeking to update it in the national emblem. Soon after the bill was tables, a controversy erupted when some part of India was shown as part of Nepal’s new political map. The residents of Kalapani territory, which is an area under the Indian administration as part of the Pithoragarh district in the Uttarakhand state, expressed their dismay over Nepal's releasing a new map and claiming the territory as there's. According to the reports, the Nepal government had not revealed new map covering Indian territories for a week. It was been made public after publishing in the Gazette. Meanwhile Nepal Health Ministry reported 323 more Covid-19 cases in Nepal taking the total number of cases in the country to 4,085.
