Hezbollah Commander Killed During Strike In Lebanon, Says Israeli Forces
Hezbollah’s Nasser regional division is responsible for the region between Mount Dov and the Bint Jbeil area.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said on Saturday, that it had killed Jaafar Khader Faour, a commander of Hezbollah's Nasser Brigade rocket unit in southern Lebanon. It added that he had been responsible for multiple attacks on Israel since October 2023. According to a Reuters report, Hezbollah did not immediately comment or confirm Faour's death.

The IDF says that the Hezbollah commander was killed in a strike in southern Lebanon’s Jouaiyya, along with the commander of its drone unit in the regional division.
According to The Times Of Israel report, Faour was behind several rocket attacks on Israel from the eastern sector of Lebanon. The Israeli military said that it includes a deadly attack in July on Majdal Shams that killed 12 children “and injured many and the rocket attack on Metula last Thursday, which resulted in the deaths of 5 civilians”.

Further, the Israeli military claimed in a social media post, that Faour was responsible for terrorist attacks carried out from eastern Lebanon, “from which the first rocket launches toward Israeli territory were fired on October 8, under his command”.
Meanwhile, Israeli naval commandos seized a trainee mariner a military official described as a "senior operative" of Hezbollah during a raid in Lebanon and brought him to Israel for questioning.
According to AFP, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati instructed the foreign ministry to submit a complaint to the United Nations Security Council over the raid on the coastal town of Batroun, his office said on Saturday. The Lebanese army and UN peacekeeping force UNIFIL are both conducting investigations into the raid, Mikati's office said, adding that he had called for "expedited" results.
