'He Will Never See Her Grow Up,' Mother Of Floyd’s Daughter Says In An Emotional Address; Seeks Justice
Mother of George Floyd’s Six-year-old daughter says in an emotional statement to the press that she wants justice for Floyd. She said that the police officers took away a big part of her daughter's life and that now Floyd will never be able to see his daughter grow up.

New Delhi: The mother of George Floyd’s daughter Roxie Washington gave an emotional statement during a press conference in Minneapolis and said that Floyd was a good person and that the officers took away a big part of her daughter’s life. Floyd's six-year-old daughter Gianna was also present at the conference.
Washington pointed at her daughter and said that 'this what the officers took away' said and that now Floyd will never be able to see his daughter grow up.
“He will never see her grow up, graduate. He will never walk her down the aisle. If there is a problem she is having and she wants to see her dad, she does not have that anymore,” said Washington while trying to keep her voice steady.
She said that she wants ‘justice for Floyd’ because he was a good person.
“No matter what anybody says he was a good person and this the proof of that,” Washington said pointing at her daughter.

Despite a curfew, protests continued in America over the death of George Floyd. The US President Donald Trump had also warned of deploying the military to stop the violence. On Tuesday, many in social media joined the #blackouttuesday protest and shared images of a black square to express their support for the cause. Celebrities and even TV, Radio, and Music industries in America and other parts of the world joined the #blackouttuesday protest. In India, the Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo, Mayawati also discussed the death of Floyd on Twitter and said that the protests show that a common man's life has value. She also said that 'India's constitution guarantees the right to freedom, security, and respect but governments don't follow it. This is the reason that many migrant workers are in a crisis today.'
