Second Trump Term? Trade Advisor Peter Navarro Hints White House Planning Another Term For Outgoing President

Despite the defeat in the United States Presidential Elections, the White House is planning a second term for US President Donald Trump, a top white house official said on Friday. "We are moving forward here at the White House under the assumption that there will be a second Trump term," the outgoing president's trade advisor Peter Navarro told the media. Nearly a week after US media announced, that Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden had defeated Trump, the president is yet to concede. In the presidential elections, President Trump lost to the Democratic nominee Joe Biden in both, the popular vote and the electoral vote. While Joe Biden secured 290 electoral votes and 7,81,14,089 popular votes securing 50.9 per cent of votes, Donald Trump on the other hand trailed the democratic nominee by securing just 232 electoral votes and 7,27,41,954 popular vote securing only 47.4 per cent of votes. Since then, the president has made only a few public appearances, and alleging election fraud without providing any proof, launched legal challenges in several states. "What we seek here is verifiable ballots, certifiable ballots and an investigation into what are growing numbers of allegations of fraud undersigned affidavits by witnesses," Navarro said, repeating the unsubstantiated claims by Trump supporters. Navarro lamenting on what he called "an immaculate deception," said any speculation about what Biden might do on trade policy or with regard to China "I think is moot at this point." While the investigation agencies of the US are looking into the matter of tampering with the voting by means of hacking in the elections, senior US federal and state election officials on Thursday said there is "no evidence" that hackers were able to tamper with the vote.
