New Delhi: With Coronavirus cases increasing across the world once again, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has also been infected the virus and is experiencing mild symptoms. He has isolated himself until he recovers. Gates took to Twitter and informed about his health. He tweeted, "I've tested positive for COVID. I'm experiencing mild symptoms and am following the experts' advice by isolating until I'm healthy again."

Acoording to a PTI report, Bill Gates has been a vocal proponent of pandemic mitigation measures, specifically access to vaccines and medication for poorer countries. The Gates Foundation in October said it will spend $120 million to boost access to generic versions of drugmaker Merck's antiviral COVID-19 pill for lower-income countries.
The Seattle-based Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the most influential private foundation in the world, with an endowment of about $65 billion.
In 2015, Gates gave a TED talk about global pandemics, warning us that the world was not prepared to handle one.
"There's no need to panic ... but we need to get going," Gates said during his talk.
In 2020, Gates spoke about the Coronavirus response, giving the U.S. high marks for its social distancing efforts but low marks for testing.
