UP Property Dealer Kills Woman, Dumps Burnt Body In River; Video Calls Father, Wife To Show Corpse
Two men were arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah for allegedly murdering a woman over a property dispute. They choked, burnt, and dumped her body in a river.

Two men, a property dealer and a business associate, have been arrested for the alleged murder of a woman over property issues in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah.
According to a report by NDTV, Anjali, 25, was called by the two accused, Shivendra Yadav, 26, and his aide Gaurav, 19, for handing over property papers. Police said they then made her consume alcohol, choked her to death, burnt her and threw her body into a river.
The body which was which was missing for five days, was found in a mutilated state on Saturday near the river.
The report says that the accused also made a video call to the victim’s father and wife to show the body. Anjali’s sister Kiran said that the accused had taken Rs 6 lakh from the victim for land and claimed that they called her on the pretext of giving the property papers and then killed her.
A police probe was launched after family members of the victim found her burnt scooter near a drain. The police said that they accused the property dealer of murder.
Yadav and his partner confessed to the crime during police interrogation.

In a separate property dispute case, in February, a man allegedly killed his sister and 3-year-old niece over a property dispute in Etawah. According to The Times Of India (TOI), the incident in the Mahera Chungi area, where Harshvardhan, the son of retired chief medical officer Lavkush Chauhan, allegedly shot and killed his sister Jyoti, 40, and her three-year-old daughter Tashu.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar Verma, Jyoti had been living at her parents' home with her daughter for the past three years.
When the family rushed to the scene, they saw the mother and daughter’s bloodied bodies.
Harshvardhan entered the room accompanied by his two sons and fired shots, killing Jyoti and Tashu instantly, as per the report.
