Smriti Irani's Special Message For Women: 'Not March 8, But For Days When No One Will Celebrate You'

Smriti Irani shared a video message for women on Women's Day. She urged women to prioritize their health and well-being, stay updated with financial knowledge, and engage in activities that bring them joy.

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani posted a video on X as the world celebrated Women’s Day. However, the actor-turned-politician wrote on the social media platform that the message is not for March 8 but for the next day.

In the video, Irani said that on March 8, people will bring flowers, stages will be set to honour your talent, but on the very next day, there will be no one.

In an over two-minute video, the saffron party leader requested women to do three things. 

Firstly, to look after themselves. In the video, she said that women have a trait that they suppress their needs so that everyone is happy no matter if there is fever; women self-medicate but do not go to doctors because of time and money-saving. She said that women should look after themselves and not feel guilty.

Secondly, she said people start their day with meditation and reading newspapers and asked if women can keep themselves updated with the financial knowledge. She also advised women to read things about culture and literature, among others.’

Thirdly, Irani advised doing something that’s favourite in order to be mentally sharp. She further asked the women to do these three things, as they deserve a life that’s peaceful, purposeful, and gives joy.
