George Floyd Rerun In Jodhpur: Cop Kneels On Man's Neck For 'Not Wearing Mask'

The man, unlike George Floyd who had given in to the police, is clearly seen hitting the police in the video and also holds a criminal record.

Jodhpur (Rajasthan): After the death of African- American George Floyd’s death in a police custody stirred civil unrest in the US, a similar incident was witnessed in Jodhpur where a policeman is seen kneeling on the man’s neck, which could have led to possible asphyxiation. ALSO WATCH: Locals save man from George Floyd-like incident in India In Rajasthan's Jodhpur, a man identified as Mukesh Kumar Prajapat, a resident of Baldev Nagar in Jodhpur,  was found outside the home without wearing a mask.  It is when he got into a standoff as the police charged him fine for breaking the lockdown rules. But locals intervened and helped in releasing the man from the clutches of the violent police officer. The video of the incident has surfaced and is now going viral. However, officials revealed that the man had attacked the police officials first. The man in the video is also seen violently protesting and resisting the move by policemen. The man, unlike George Floyd who had given in to the police, is clearly seen hitting the police. Floyd was seen gasping for air and making appeals that he is unable to breathe and that he is going to die. According to police, the man has a criminal record and had earlier attacked his father as well since he got into a tiff with him. George Floyd, a 46-year-old man, died on May 25, 2020, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for almost nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed face down in the street. The incident was recorded in cameras leading to massive unrest in several states across the US in which people condemned the action of the police. Floyd was handcuffed and taken away and surveillance video shows that he complied with officers. Later mobile phone videos were taken by onlookers circulated in social media. It showed the white police officer kneeling on Floyd’s neck while he was pinned to the ground. The other police officer while another one looked. In the video, Floyd can be seen gasping for air and making appeals that he is unable to breathe and that he is going to die. The policeman did not move for seven minutes despite protests from onlookers and by the time the policeman moved Floyd died.
