Mumbai: In a shocking incident a doctor was attacked by none other than his own patient. Yes! The patient lost his cool and ended attacking the doctor who asked him to keep the oxygen mask on. A case has been filed against a 65-year-old covid-19 patient from Lonere for assaulting a doctor on Wednesday, according to publication Hindu. The incident took place at Alibag Civil Hospital where the old patient attacked the doctor named Swapandeep Thale on Wednesday.

The patient, who got admitted with an oxygen saturation level of 85 was on ventilator support but the level rose to 92 later.
The 32-year-old doctor had been requesting the patient on ventilator support not to remove his oxygen mask. The patient was also instructed by the nurse to put on his mask but he kept on revolting. The doctor was attacked by the patient when the doctor was resting on his chair. It is when the doctor closed his eyes, the patient picked up a stand used for hanging saline bags and hit the doctor on his forehead, as per the report. Luckily, the doctor managed to escape the second blow after a ward boy came and dragged the patient away. The doctor has injuries to the forehead and eyes, as per the report.
Meanwhile, India has reported 41,806 new Covid cases, 39,130 recoveries, & 581 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry. With 8,602 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Wednesday, Maharashtra’s tally reached 6,181,247 cases so far. As many as 170 more people succumbed to the illness in the previous 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 126,390, the latest data showed.
