After 'Kangana Ranaut' IndiGo Flight Ruckus, DGCA Issues '2 Week Suspension' Warning For Airlines
The DGCA has stated that “in case of any violation of Rule 13 of Aircraft Rules 1937 on any passenger aircraft, the schedule of flight for that particular route shall be suspended for two weeks from the next day
New Delhi: After the ruckus that took place in Kangana Ranaut’s IndiGo flight from Chandigarh to Mumbai on Wednesday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) warned all airlines that if rules of photography and videography are violated on board, it will lead to two weeks of suspension of the flight on that particular route.

DGCA Warning:
The DGCA has stated that “in case of any violation of Rule 13 of Aircraft Rules 1937 on any passenger aircraft, the schedule of flight for that particular route shall be suspended for two weeks from the next day. The rule deals with conditions of photography & videography on board flights.

On Friday the DGCA pulled up the IndiGo carrier over a chaos that erupted on the flight when some mediapersons violated government-mandated Covid protocols, in a bid to record actress’ statement on the massive slugfest between her and the Maharashtra government.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) sought a report from IndiGo Airlines over the alleged violations of safety & social distancing protocols. It has directed IndiGo to take action against the passengers responsible for unruly behaviour and protocol violations
IndiGo’s statement:
“We have given our statement to DGCA. Our cabin crew, as well as the captain, followed all the requisite protocols, including announcements to restrict photography, follow social distancing and maintain overall safety,” IndiGo said in a statement.
"We would like to reiterate that our cabin crew, as well as the captain, followed all the requisite protocols, including announcements to restrict photography, follow social distancing and maintain overall safety. IndiGo also followed the requisite protocol of documenting this matter in its post-flight report," the airline said in a statement.
IndiGo added: "We are in receipt of certain directions from the DGCA in relation to flight 6E 264. We will follow the prescribed guidelines."
What happened on the flight:
Several video clips have surfaced on the social media which show mediapersons trying to cover actress’ response after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished "illegal" constructions at her office in Mumbai's Pali Hill area.
